Elephant Mountain - The Last Days of Planet Earth

Elephant Mountain - The Last Days of Planet Earth (2010)

On a cold night in January of 2009, 5 guys assembled in a practice room in Syracuse, NY. The first night 2 songs were written and ELEPHANT MOUNTAIN was born. At the encouragement of lead guitarist, John Hanus, he reunited vocalist, Joe Altier and guitarist, Brian “Slider” Azzoto (both formerly of Brand New Sin). Slider and Joe had been discussing writing together in the months leading up to this, so they figured it was time. Along with Joe, Slider and John were drummer, Lewk Detor and bassist, Dave Hoyt the band spent all of 2009 writing, jamming and finding a “sound”. They began mixing all the elements of great classic rock and adding their own modern twist to it. ELEPHANT MOUNTAIN is plain and simple a ROCK N ROLL band. No frills, no b.s!! They are not trying to reinvent the wheel, they are just making good music. The band played a “secret show” in Dec of 2009 and it’s first official show on April 10, 2010. In the early part of 2010 they felt the band needed a fuller sound and added veteran B-3 player, Lou Segreti to the fold. After the first time jamming with Lou the band realized he was the missing piece in the “sound” of ELEPHANT MOUNTAIN. Just recently the band entered MOLETRAX STUDIOS in Syracuse with Jeff “THE MOLE” Moleski and recorded its debut album, “The Last Days Of Planet Earth”. The album will be released independently on Sept 17th. It truly showcases what the band has become in a year and where the future is headed. A fall release of the album is slated with a show to coincide with it as well. Look for the band to release the outing independently and to begin playing shows around the Northeast thru the end of 2010 and early 2011. The band is already writing songs for a follow up album and is hoping to squeeze out new music a few times a year. So stay tuned and SPREAD THE HERD!!

RED GIANT - DISCOGRAPHY

Back in the late summer of 1990, Damien Perry, Brian Skinner, Chris Gorman, and Alex Perekrest formed Red Giant. They shared a connection through a love of classic punk, rock, and metal bands- like AC/DC, Motorhead, The MC5, Black Sabbath, and The Stooges.

In 1995, Red Giant released Psychoblaster and the Misuse of Power, cementing their footprint on the emerging stoner rock scene. As years unfolded, they shared stages with many respected bands…Mule, Voivod, Hawkwind, Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu, Nebula, and Hermano - to name just a few.

THE SWORD - Warp Riders (2010)

THE SWORD - Warp Riders

Warp Riders is The Sword's first concept album, a science fiction maelstrom put to the storming, relentless riffage and pounding rhythms upon which the band has staked its reputation. It's also their most flat-out, supercharged, adrenaline-pumping work yet, a chrome-plated war machine that lords over the blackened sky. From the street-prowling anthems "Night City" and "Lawless Lands" to the two-part showdown of "The Chronomancer," to the furious mechanics of closing track "(The Night the Sky Cried) Tears of Fire," The Sword forces eminent domain ruling over heavy metal for the next decade, and welcome all challengers for an ill-fated shot at the title.

Warp Riders tells the tale of Ereth, an archer banished from his tribe on the planet Acheron. A hardscrabble planet that has undergone a tidal lock, which has caused one side to be scorched by three suns, and the other enshrouded in perpetual darkness, it is the background for a tale of strife and fantasy, the battle between pure good and pure evil. How it's told – through the dueling lead guitars of J.D. Cronise and Kyle Shutt, and the concussive rhythm section of bassist Bryan Ritchie and drummer Trivett Wingo – underscores the narrative with molten steel and unreal precision.

SPIRALARMS - Highest Society

SPIRALARMS - Highest Society (2010)

Artist Bio

SpiralArms rose from the ashes of millennial bands Systematic, Forbidden and Man Made God. This sextet has one mission. That mission is to save today’s music scene by bringing true heavy melodic rock to the forefront. The band plans to accomplish that that with the release of their debut album “Highest Society”. Lead singer and founding member Tim Narducci speaks on their mission and their record, “SpiralArms has been hard at work making the perfect heavy rock record, and I know we did it. I believe it will open countless new doors and put us in front of a universal audience with no artistic boundaries. Our time is now."

DAREDEVIL - 4 ON THE FLOOR

DAREDEVIL 4 ON THE FLOOR

In mid 1998 the live music scene in Sydney, Australia sucked!! Rock bands were replaced by indie noodling and angst ridden grunge burnouts who would never admit to loving rock moves or monster lickage. The fools. It was around this time Troy Scerri, Charlie O'Neill and Dave Tomley began to assemble a band with a desire to play the kind of music they listened to at home, but found it impossible to find on the live circuit. They recruited the brutal Mark Mills and doom lord Jason Breitfuss and =DAREDEVIL= evolved. More like devolved with a starting point heavily influenced by The Stooges, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy and Rose Tattoo. The band knew rock was alive and well elsewhere with bands like C.O.C, The Hellacopters and Spiritual Beggars providing more motivation to kick Sydney's sleepy head in.

Marbles Power Trio - Ready to Ride

Marbles - Ready to Ride EP

"The MARBLES were born August 1995, in the city of Montijo, suburbs of Lisbon. At first, this project was thought to be a sequence of a before project called Mushroom Revolution. In 1996 the first demo was recorded and entitled "Sleepy Time". This demo expressed the pop side of the band. Still in 1996 a compilation of garage bands entitled "Teenagers From Outer Space", was put out and included a track from Marbles called "Quite The Same". 1997 was the time to go into the studio again to record a new demo entitled "Plenty". In 1999 the track "Face You With a Smile" was included in another compilation (Scanning) by 7Eleven, label from Azores. In 2000 the "Apollo 9" demo was recorded, and in 2004 Marbles recorded the demo entitled "Slow Desert Punk". In 2007 two of the old members left, and now the band has only 3 elements. They have recorded a pre-demo (untitled) as a CD/EP preparation of album Hit the Road released this year. In the last 15 years, Marbles have truly evolved, as it could be clearly noticed by the recordings. Marbles sounds like a psychedelic stoner rock power tunes".

Blowback - 800 Miles

"Blowback is a 4 piece Stoner Rock group from Örebro, Sweden. The sound has been described as "big Witchcraft meets little Dozer", heavy riffs mixed with the groove of the 70s. Already established a good reputation in the business with 2 previous albums (one split album and one full-length), second full-length "800 miles" by Örebro's Blowback is nothing less than a fist of pure 70's groove and attitude Hard Rock right in the face of the listener. Mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, Blowback gets a sound most 70's bands would kill for, a thick full sound while still maintaining that special feel that few bands today can manage".
