Got a really cool message from a new friend on Facebook (through "Porthole to Stoner Rock") saying that he really digs my little blog here!!! Thanx very much to Andrew & his Boyz. Since I pretty much have to put labels on things for TAG purposes around here, Andrew & his Boyz ROCK by the name of AMERICAN WITCH & they are to me an awesome train chuggin' Stoner/Sludge/Metal band that is a very catchy act to be reckoned with indeed!!! If you're a fan of Pantera,Down or C.O.C., but are more into the Hard-Rockin' & Riff Orientd stuff, then these guys are definately what you want & we just might be sticking to our "Stoner Vein". That's what Bob so loves to support here on the blog. Good luck to AMERICAN WITCH with Burn the Crow in a truly tough industry to be in war with! Thank God for the underground fans that know exactly what they love & what they're looking for! So no matter what the future holds, AMERICAN WITCH is very welcome here!!!

Black Thai was formed in 2009 by friends Jim Healey (We're All Gonna Die) and Scotty Fuse (Cortez). After many drunken late night conversations about music, the two decided it would be a good idea to start a band without any expectations or pressure. Just for the pure fun of having a few beers and playing loud rock. A return to simpler times. The two enlisted bassist Cory Cocomozzi to handle the low end. Jeremy Hemond assumed control of the drum throne and Black Thai was born. Picture Corrosion Of Conformity (during Deliverance period) jammin' with Danzig but only Elvis stayed home.

Back in the late summer of 1990, Damien Perry, Brian Skinner, Chris Gorman, and Alex Perekrest formed Red Giant. They shared a connection through a love of classic punk, rock, and metal bands- like AC/DC, Motorhead, The MC5, Black Sabbath, and The Stooges.

How it's told – through the dueling lead guitars of J.D. Cronise and Kyle Shutt, and the concussive rhythm section of bassist Bryan Ritchie and drummer Trivett Wingo – underscores the narrative with molten steel and unreal precision.

Herbert set forth with eleven slabs of ground up sonic carnage. Overall, Herbert is reminiscent of Corrosion Of Conformity, Terra Firma, and Black Sabbath all rolled up into one smoked-out package. The original members (Jason McGrath, Trent Ramseyer, Stacy Mobley) started jamming in the winter of 1992. Forming a band not to copy the sounds of others but respect their influences. 18 Years Later, The Whores of Tijuana continue to play!

The Whores of Tijuana have just released their 2nd full length album, “Psycholongevity” which is the long awaited follow up of their Self Titled debut album in 2005 which features new bassist, Sean Williams.
